Top Selling Automotive Brands Announced in October

The top-selling brands in Turkey’s car and light commercial vehicle market in October were Fiat, Ford and Renault, respectively.

According to data from the Association of Automotive Dealers (ODD), sales of cars and light commercial vehicles in October 2022 increased by 14.9% compared to October 2021 and reached 65 thousand 222. In October, car sales increased 17.1 percent from the same month of the previous year and reached 47 thousand 440, while sales of light commercial vehicles increased 9.5 percent to 17 thousand 782.

The car and light commercial vehicle market grew 1 percent compared to the 10-year average sales in October.

FIAT IN THE FIRST PLACE

According to information compiled by the ODD report’s AA correspondent, Fiat ranked first last month with 13,198 units in passenger and light commercial sales. Ford followed with 7,654 sales and Renault with 6,891 sales.

Volkswagen (VW) ranked fourth with 5,202 sales and Dacia ranked fifth with 3,687 sales.

Fiat was the brand that sold the most cars in October with 9,085. Renault followed Fiat with 6,038 sales and Dacia with 3,687 sales.

Hyundai ranked fourth with 3,327 sales, while VW ranked fifth with 3,055 sales.

SALE OF LUXURY CARS IN OCTOBER

In the list, which includes 44 brands in car sales, sales of all brands except Smart were made last month.

In October, 43 Porsches, 33 Maserati, 31 Lexus, 3 Jaguars, 3 Aston Martins, 2 Ferraris and 1 Bentley were sold.

TOP 5 LIGHT COMMERCIALS

As for the light commercial vehicle segment, Ford ranked first on the list with 6,918 sales in October. Ford was followed by Fiat with 4,113 sales and VW with 2,147 sales.

Toyota was fourth with 1,166 sales and Renault fifth with 853 sales.
