Sales of commercial vehicles in the EU also fell in August
Total sales in the European Union (EU) commercial vehicle market decreased 8 percent in August compared to the same period a year earlier.
The European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) announced the new commercial vehicle registration data for EU countries for August 2022.
Consequently, new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU fell 8 percent in August compared to the same period last year, to 110,261.
DECREASE IN FRANCE 13.7 PERCENT
Sales of commercial vehicles between EU countries in August decreased by 4.3 percent in Germany, 8.9 percent in Italy and 13.7 percent in France, compared to the same period last year. .
Among the 27 EU member states, Germany had the highest number of new commercial vehicles in August. During this period, 24,697 commercial vehicles were registered in Germany, 21,363 in France, 10,457 in Spain and 9,693 in Italy.
New commercial vehicle registrations in the EU decreased by 18.8 percent in January-August 2022 compared to the same period in the previous year and became 1 million 51 thousand 57.
Total commercial vehicle sales in the EU have continued to decline since July last year, marking their decline for the 14th consecutive month. (AA)
