Azerbaijan calls for bilateral negotiations with Armenia

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry’s statement said that Yerevan’s response to Baku’s suggestions on the draft peace agreement took approximately two and a half months, severely delaying the process.

The statement noted that the deadlock in peace talks does not contribute to stability and prosperity in the region and said: “Azerbaijan is ready for direct bilateral negotiations (without intermediaries) with Armenia to conclude the peace agreement as soon as possible. “We believe that the two countries should decide their future relations together.”

The statement affirms that the two countries are responsible for continuing the peace process, including choosing a mutually acceptable location or deciding to hold a meeting at the border, adding: “We call on the Armenian side to avoid further unnecessary delays and We ask you to respond positively to this call to start negotiations as soon as possible.” “We wait”.
