New action by New York mayor as Turkey investigation continues

New York Mayor Eric Adams, against whom bribery allegations have come to light in recent weeks and who allegedly ran the election campaign through some donors from Turkey, remains on the agenda of the American public.

Adams has created a legal defense fund as the investigation into corruption in the 2021 campaign continues.

The funding will be overseen by the city’s Conflict of Interest Board, an independent agency.

THEIR DEVICES WERE CONSIZED

By law, city employees can create legal defense funds to raise money to pay certain legal bills.

The FBI is investigating the mayor’s campaign finances and possible ties to Türkiye.

Earlier this month, officers searched the homes of three people in Adams’ circle and briefly confiscated their phone and devices.
