Call from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to Biden

The speech given by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on the events in the Palestinian territories was broadcast on Palestinian state television. Abbas stated the following in his speech:

“I appeal to Biden, who has a special responsibility due to his international position and his power to influence the Israeli authorities. I ask you (Biden), in your official and humanitarian capacity, to stop this humanitarian disaster, including the genocide committed against our innocent people, and to help our besieged people. Could such genocide be self-defense? This is a punishable war crime. “The killing and destruction against our people is beyond human capacity.”

Abbas also called for immediate measures to stop attacks by Israeli forces and Jewish settlers in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

Recalling that Israel yesterday bombed the Al-Fahura school within UNRWA, where many people took refuge, in the Cibaliya refugee camp, in the north of the Gaza Strip, and the Tel ez-Zater school in the city of Beit Lahiya, in the north of the Gaza Strip.
