Israel rejects Hamas offer

According to Israeli state television KAN, the Tel Aviv administration rejected Hamas’s offer of a prisoner exchange, which included a pause in hostilities.

It was reported that within the scope of the offer, Hamas stipulated that in exchange for the release of 50 Israeli hostages, there would be a three-day pause in fighting in Gaza and the release of Palestinian women and children in Israeli prisons.

“A LARGER SCALE ENERGY EXCHANGE”

In the Israeli TV Channel 12 report, an unnamed Israeli official claimed that intermediaries in the negotiations with Hamas “knew that Israel wanted a larger-scale prisoner exchange.”

ISRAEL DOES NOT ACCEPT the ceasefire

Abu Ubeyde, spokesman for Hamas’ military wing, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, noted in the audio recording posted on Hamas’ Telegram channel that Qatari mediators worked for the release of 200 Palestinian children and 25 women in exchange of Israeli captives throughout Gaza. the last week.

Stating that Israel wanted the release of 100 women and children in Gaza, Abu Ubeyde said that they, like Kassam, conveyed to the mediators that they could free 50 women and children only with a five-day ceasefire and that this number could reach 70.

Stating that they demanded that the agreement to be made for the exchange of prisoners include a ceasefire and the entry of humanitarian aid, Abu Ubeyde expressed the opinion that Israel postponed this issue and evaded it.

Israeli officials often claim that no agreement involving a ceasefire will be reached unless the hostages are freed. (AA)
