Israeli army attacked Shifa hospital at night
The Israeli military said it had carried out a raid on Hamas militants at Shifa Hospital and urged them to surrender, and that thousands of Palestinian civilians were still sheltering in the Gaza Strip’s largest hospital.
Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee stated in his post on platform X that a military operation was carried out against a certain part of the Shifa Medical Center. Adraee stated that the operation was not aimed at citizens, medical teams or patients inside the hospital.
THE INFORMATION WAS GIVEN BEFORE THE OPERATION
Adraee stated that the problem was conveyed to the hospital management before the operation and noted that efforts were made to evacuate patients and refugees from the hospital before the operation. On the other hand, the Gaza Ministry of Health confirmed in its statement that the information about the start of the operation was delivered to the Sifa Hospital.
Gaza Health Ministry Director General Dr. Munir al-Bursh told Al Jazeera television that Israeli forces attacked the western side of the health complex.
