Israel agreement sign

Israel agreement sign

Israeli Defense Minister Galant met with the families of the prisoners. “In this war, law enforcement is only interested in two things: the defeat of Hamas and the return of the prisoners.” Galant said that they were determined to save the captives by any means possible, and that this could be through an agreement or an operation.

Noting that he has known Hamas for many years and knows that they can only fight it by putting military pressure on it, Galant said: “We don’t have a timetable for war. “We will continue until the captives are freed.” he said.

With this statement, Galant spoke of the possibility of reaching an agreement for the release of prisoners held by Hamas for the first time.

ISRAELI POWERS IN GAZA

Hamas’s armed wing, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, carried out a comprehensive attack on the morning of October 7, claiming to “respond to Israel’s occupation and violations,” and took captive many Israelis and took them to Gaza.

The Israeli military claimed that there were approximately 240 Israeli prisoners in the Gaza Strip, where it continued its intense attacks.

The Tel Aviv government had strongly opposed the mutual offer of release of all captives and detainees and a humanitarian ceasefire with Hamas, which was widely discussed in Israel. The Israeli government also rejected calls for a ceasefire in Gaza, where Israeli prisoners were being held.

The Tel Aviv government, which announced that it could accept a humanitarian pause in the conflict on the condition that Israeli prisoners are released, continues its intense bombing in the Gaza Strip.

The Qassam Brigades announced that approximately 60 prisoners in their custody were killed in the intense shelling by the Israeli army.

Different groups in Israel, especially some relatives of the prisoners, support the proposal that both sides mutually release all captives and detainees. (AA)
