Hostage claim by Hamas

Hamas statement on hostages: Israel prevented us from leaving

The Qassam Brigades made a written statement about their attempts to free some foreigners they captured in Israel and brought to the Gaza Strip during their October 7 attack.

The statement states that Qassam was about to release 12 people of different nationalities a few days ago, but was prevented from doing so by Israel’s attacks, adding: “We are still ready to release these people, but due to enemy attacks ( Israel), their lives are in danger and their release is prevented.”

Hamas recently claimed that “60 hostages were missing due to Israeli attacks.”

LATEST SITUATION IN CONFLICTS

While the Qassam Brigades launched an all-out attack against Israel on the morning of October 7, Tel Aviv launched intense aerial bombardments on the Gaza Strip.

Israel announced that more than 1,400 Israelis, including 315 soldiers, were killed and 5,132 people were wounded in attacks carried out from Gaza.

There are 242 Israeli prisoners held by the Qassam Brigades.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, 10,328 Palestinians, including 4,237 children and 2,719 women, were killed and at least 25,000 people were injured in Israeli attacks.

In the West Bank and Jerusalem, Israeli forces and Jewish settlers killed 163 Palestinians.

The Israeli army also carried out a series of attacks on hospitals. Hundreds of people were killed and injured in the attacks.

In clashes between the Israeli army and Hezbollah since October 8, 63 Hezbollah members and 4 Israeli soldiers were killed. (AA)
