King Charles opens parliament: notable statement on inflation
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the British Parliament, King Charles made notable remarks.
King Charles announced that the British government would make responsible decisions on spending and borrowing to help reduce the level of inflation.
Charles’s speech became a hot topic.
Charles set out the government’s priorities for the new legislature, saying ministers would “address the causes of inflation and low growth rather than demands for more spending or borrowing.”
Charles said: “My ministers will support the Bank of England to get inflation back on target by making responsible decisions on spending and borrowing. “These decisions will help household finances, reduce public sector debt and protect the country’s financial security,” he said.
