The number of people killed in the Gaza Strip, which Israel has been under intense bombardment for a month, increased by 270 in the last 24 hours, reaching 9,770.

Ashraf al-Qudra, spokesman for the Ministry of Health in Gaza, provided information on the victims and injuries in the region at the press conference he held at Shifa Hospital. Kudra recalled that 70 percent of the victims of the attack were children, women and the elderly, and noted that 2,660 people, 1,270 of whom were children, were reported missing in the rubble of buildings destroyed in the Israeli attacks.

Spokesman Kudra claimed that Israel has been carrying out “genocide and ethnic cleansing” in Gaza for 30 days and said: “Gaza hospitals will not be able to provide service in just a few hours.” he said.

Emphasizing that the safe passage of aid, including fuel, to Gaza must be guaranteed, Kudra claimed that Israel “lied” about the safe passage of aid. Kudra noted that Palestinians injured in the Israeli attacks “could not be transferred to hospitals in Egypt for three days.” (AA)
