Huge US package to Israel

Huge US package to Israel

The US House of Representatives approved the bill requested by Republicans for a $14.3 billion aid package for Israel.

FOR A SMALL DIFFERENCE

In the vote held in the United States House of Representatives, the bill was accepted with 226 “yes” votes and 196 “no” votes. While 12 Democratic members supported the Republican bill, 2 Republican members voted “no.”

DAVID’S IRON DOME AND SLUG

In the bill proposing to provide a $14.3 billion aid package to Israel, $4 billion will be allocated for Israel’s “Iron Dome” and “David Sling” air defense systems, and 1 .2 billion dollars for the “Iron Beam” air defense system was planned.
The bill proposed cutting aid funding from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
The bill must receive approval from both the Senate and US President Joe Biden to become law.

THE SENATE CANNOT APPROVE

US Senate Majority Leader Senator Chuck Schumer called the bill a “very flawed proposal” and announced that the Senate would not “consider” the bill.
Stating that they will work on their own emergency aid package, Schumer said it will include humanitarian aid to Israel, Ukraine and Gaza. The Democratic-dominated Senate opposes the Republican proposal to exclude aid to Ukraine and provide it with IRS funds.

BIDEN IS GIVEN A VETO SIGN

US President Joe Biden’s administration had requested $105 billion in additional funding from Congress, primarily to support Ukraine and Israel, as well as to increase security measures on the US-Mexico border. The White House reacted to the bill proposed by Republicans in the House of Representatives, proposing an aid package only for Israel, without including Ukraine, and Biden stated that he would veto the bill “if it is presented to him.” (AA)
