Fatwa of Israeli rabbis: the hospital can be bombed

According to Israeli TV Channel 14 news, a letter signed by 43 rabbis was sent to Netanyahu stating that it is religiously permissible to bomb Shifa Hospital.

The news item noted that this message, signed by the rabbis and stating that “there is no religious or moral obstacle to attacking civilians if they hide behind them and use them as shields,” was transmitted to the army units, the Prime Minister and the ministers.

The message stated that those who used civilians as shields should be condemned and stated that if the hospital was bombed, the responsibility “lies with these people and those who support them.”

Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari said in an earlier statement: “Hamas uses Shifa Hospital as a shield for its terrorist infrastructure. “Hamas attacks from hospitals,” he said.
