The death toll is rising in Gaza… Almost half of them are children
The Gaza Health Ministry announced that the number of Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks rose to 5,087.
It was reported that 15,273 people were injured in the attacks by Israel, which has bombed Gaza since October 7.
According to the statement, 2,055 of those who lost their lives were children, 1,119 women and 217 elderly people.
The Ministry claimed that 436 Palestinians, including 182 children, were killed in Israeli strikes in 24 hours. It was claimed that the majority of those killed died as a result of the shelling in northern Gaza.
In the Israeli attacks, 57 medical personnel lost their lives and 12 hospitals and 32 health centers were put out of service.
‘NO FUEL HAS ENTERED GAZA FOR DAYS’
Meanwhile, the Gaza government announced that there has been no fuel entry into Gaza since the Israeli attacks began on October 7 and that an urgent supply of fuel is required for the sustainability of the health system.
The Gaza government’s written statement denied the news about the entry of fuel into the blockaded Gaza Strip. The statement highlighted that there was no fuel in the humanitarian aid trucks that entered through the Rafah border gate in the last two days and noted that fuel was urgently needed for the sustainability of the health system in Gaza.
In another statement, the government said: “It has become a very urgent need to permanently open the Rafah border gate to correct the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.”
In the statement issued yesterday by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), it was announced that the organization had 3 days of fuel left in the Gaza Strip, hospitals and bakeries could not function without fuel. and no humanitarian aid could be provided.
