Israel’s chemical weapons claim

Israeli President Isaac Herzog claimed that the “chemical weapons formula” was found in Hamas members who attacked Israeli territory on October 7.

Herzog made controversial claims as a guest on Sky News last night. Herzog noted that a USB seized by the Israeli military contained “documents describing the production of chemical weapons by Al Qaeda” and claimed this was an indication that Hamas was preparing to use chemical weapons against civilians.

The Israeli leader claimed that the USB also contained instructions on how to kidnap hostages and behead babies.

Saying that Hamas is no different from Al Qaeda and ISIS, Herzog argued that the party that cut off electricity, water and fuel supplies to Gaza was Hamas, not Israel.
