Second electoral round will determine the new president in Argentina

According to the first results of the elections, in which more than 90 percent of the polls were opened, the current Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, the candidate of the Union for the Homeland and also the “Peronist” ruler, ended up ahead in the first round with 36.26 percent.

Javier Milei, candidate of the far-right party La Libertad Avanza, which obtained the largest vote in the country’s primary elections held on August 13, came in second place with 30.20 percent.

Patricia Bullrich, candidate of the main opposition alliance, leader of the Together for Change coalition, took third place in the ranking with 23.81 percent.

The candidate of the Hagamos Por Nuestro País Party, the governor of the province of Córdoba, Juan Schiarett, followed the ranking with 7.04 percent, and the candidate and activist of the Left and Labor Front, Myriam Bregman, followed the ranking with 2.66 percent.

Thus, it became clear that the winning candidate of the presidential elections will be determined in the second round of elections to be held on November 19.

It was shared that the participation rate at the polls was 74 percent and that the process was working correctly.

Voters in Argentina went to the polls to elect the new president, vice president, 24 senators and 130 deputies. (AA)
