There are thousands of dead on both sides: here is the latest situation in the war between Israel and Gaza
According to data from the National Security Research Institute at Tel Aviv University, Israel has recruited 360,000 reserve troops since the start of attacks on the Gaza Strip.
1 MILLION PALESTINIANS WERE DISPLACED
The Israeli army also attacked more than 4,600 targets in the Gaza Strip; Approximately 1 million Palestinians were displaced due to these attacks.
MORE THAN 6,300 ROCKETS WERE FIRED
Palestinian groups launched more than 6,300 rockets from the Gaza Strip toward illegal Jewish settlements, towns and cities.
78 THOUSAND ISRAELIANS WERE EVACUATED
Israeli authorities evacuated approximately 78,000 Israelis, especially in cities surrounding the Gaza Strip.
199 Israelis taken hostage
1,300 Israelis were killed and 3,968 wounded in the attacks from Gaza. The number of Israeli hostages determined to have been taken to the blockaded Gaza Strip has been announced at 199 so far.
According to data from the institute, two missiles from Syria, 19 from Lebanon and two from Gaza were launched towards northern Israel, and 4 Israeli soldiers were killed in these attacks.
Since the beginning of the attacks, Israel has prevented the entry of water, electricity, fuel, food and medicine into the Gaza Strip.
HAMAS HAS MORE THAN 15 THOUSAND MEMBERS
Hamas’s armed wing, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, is estimated to have more than 15,000 members and has between 12,000 and 15,000 rockets.
The Quds Seriyye, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, is estimated to have approximately 6,000 members and has between 6,000 and 8,000 rockets.
THE NUMBER OF HIZBULLAH IS 50 THOUSAND
It is claimed that the number of Hezbollah members in Lebanon is approximately 50,000 and that they have between 150,000 and 200,000 missiles.
NUMBER OF DEATHS AND INJURIES
The Palestinian Health Ministry announced that 2,750 people were killed and 9,700 injured in Gaza in Israel’s attacks.
It was claimed that 58 Palestinians were killed and approximately 1,250 people were injured in attacks by Israeli forces and Jewish settlers in the occupied West Bank.
WHITE HOUSE STATEMENT
On the other hand, the Strategic Communications Coordinator of the White House National Security Council, John Kirby, made assessments about the Palestinian-Israeli conflict to ABC News.
Kirby noted that they are in daily communication with Israeli officials about the importance of protecting the lives of innocent civilians in Gaza and ensuring that humanitarian aid can enter.
Arguing that Israel has the right to “pursue Hamas and attack its centers and leaders,” Kirby, on the other hand, assessed that this would be difficult in densely populated Gaza.
Kirby asserted that the United States has serious national security interests in the region and noted its military presence in the region as part of defending these interests. Kirby reiterated his warnings to Iran and other actors not to expand or deepen the conflict.
REFAH BORDER GATE
Noting that Secretary of State Antony Blinken is negotiating to ensure a safe exit from Gaza, Kirby stated that they will continue to meet with Israel and Egypt in this context.
Kirby said that they are hopeful that the Rafah border gate can be opened as soon as possible today and gave the message that they will continue working in this context.
Blinken announced yesterday that the Rafah border gate between Egypt and Gaza will reopen.
