Serial killer who killed more than 190 children dies
The serial killer, who killed more than 190 children in Colombia, died at the age of 66 in the hospital where he was being treated.
It was reported that Luis Alfredo Garavito, who confessed to having murdered more than 190 children in the country and was sentenced to 835 years in prison, died at the age of 66. It was recorded that Garavito, who died in the hospital in the city of Valledupar, in the north of the country, served part of his prison sentence there, and the cause of his death has not yet been revealed.
Garavito, known as the “Monster of Genoa”, confessed to having killed children between the ages of 8 and 16 in the 1990s. Serial killer Garavito, arrested in April 1999, confessed to having killed 114 children whose bodies were found since 1994, and then added new ones to his confessions and claimed responsibility for the murders of more than 190 children.
