Millions of civilians flee their homes in Gaza

Following the global attack launched by Hamas’s armed wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, against Israel under the name “Aqsa Flood” on the morning of Saturday, October 7, the number of dead and wounded increases with each minute passing, as Israel responded by retaliating…

A statement came from the United Nations after Israel’s airstrikes on Gaza targeted many civilians… The UN announced that the Israeli army wanted 1.1 million civilians in Gaza to leave their homes and move to southern Gaza. the region.

UN spokesman Stéphane Dujarric shared the details of Israel’s request in his written statement on the matter. Dujarric stated that the Israeli military informed the Office of Security and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Gaza shortly before midnight.

In this context, Dujarric stated that the Israeli army announced that it wanted 1.1 million civilians in Gaza to leave their places and move to the south of the region, adding: “It was announced that this also applies to UN personnel and to people staying in UN facilities, including schools and health centres.”

Dujarric stressed that they wanted the Israeli military to renounce the decision, pointing out that forcing the population of Gaza to leave would have very devastating consequences.

“The UN strongly opposes this instruction by the Israeli army and demands its cancellation.” Dujarric emphasized that such a measure would turn the already very bad situation into a “tragedy.”

“FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY”

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) today called for the evacuation of civilians in Gaza. The IDF declared that the population of the region should withdraw to the area south of Wadi Gaza.

In its statement today, the IDF called on Gaza’s civilian population to move to the area south of Wadi Gaza, as shown on the map, for their own safety. The IDF has declared war on the terrorist organization Hamas, the State of Israel, and Gaza City is an area where military operations are taking place. This evacuation is for your own safety. They will only be able to return to Gaza City once another announcement is made allowing it. “Do not approach the area where the security fence is located between you and the State of Israel,” he said.

OPERATIONS WILL CONTINUE

The IDF also stated: “Hamas terrorists hide in tunnels under houses in Gaza City and inside buildings where innocent Gazan civilians live. Civilians in Gaza City, for your safety and that of your families, evacuate the south and stay away from the Hamas terrorists who are using you as a human shield. “In the coming days, the IDF will continue to carry out major operations in Gaza City and will make intensive efforts to avoid harming civilians,” he said.
