The crisis is increasing in the region! More than 2 million people are in the dark…

The impact of the crisis between Israel and Hamas continues. The chairman of the Gaza Energy Authority, Celal Ibrahim, stated that the fuel necessary for the operation of the region’s only power plant has been depleted due to the blockage of fuel entry.

Ibrahim claimed that there was a power outage throughout the Gaza Strip after the power plant was taken out of service due to lack of fuel.

“ISRAEL IS TRYING TO MAKE GAZA UNABLE”

On the other hand, the Chairman of the Energy Authority, Zafir Mulhim, in his statement to the AA correspondent, stated that Israel has stopped the supply of electricity of 120 megawatts to the Gaza Strip since October 8.

“Today I received a report stating that most of the solar cells on the roofs of buildings in the Gaza Strip are completely damaged and cannot produce energy.” Mulhim said:

“Israel’s current goal is to deprive the Gaza Strip of all sources of electricity and turn it into an uninhabitable place.”

Since 2010, the Gaza Strip’s electricity company has used a rotating supply system that supplies electricity to some places and cuts it off in others to meet the needs of the population.

Israel supplies 120 megawatts of electricity to the Gaza Strip, which needs more than 550 megawatts of electricity per day. In Gaza, 65 megawatts of electricity are produced from energy sources and 20 megawatts of electricity from solar energy.

Israeli Defense Minister Gallant said in a statement on October 9 that they would impose a complete blockade on the Gaza Strip and that no electricity, food or fuel would be provided to the region.

Channel 12 Television, which broadcasts in Israel, announced yesterday that Israel warned Egypt not to send aid to Gaza and threatened to attack aid trucks.

“THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE AMONG THE RUBBLE OF DESTROYED BUILDINGS

The Gaza Civil Defense Directorate made a written statement. The statement said: “There are still many people in the rubble of houses destroyed by occupation planes in various parts of the Gaza Strip since last night.” The expression was used.

The statement stated that civil defense teams were insufficient to remove the debris and that there were concerns that the number of victims would increase due to a lack of heavy construction machinery and necessary equipment.

In the statement, “The occupation’s deliberate attack on civil defense teams in more than one region led to the death and injury of many of our members and disrupted our efforts to help our people.” Expressions were used.

The statement emphasized that the Israeli army attacked civilians and noted that the attacks were aimed at displacing the population of Gaza.

The Israeli military has been carrying out intense airstrikes in the Gaza Strip, which is under complete blockade, since October 7.

ISRAEL-HAMAS CONFLICT

Hamas’s armed wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, launched a comprehensive attack against Israel on the morning of October 7, called the “Aqsa Flood.”

As thousands of rockets were fired from Gaza into Israel, Palestinian armed groups attacked and seized the Beit Hanun-Erez border gate on the Gaza-Israel border.

Armed groups then entered settlements inside Israel from here and the Israeli army launched an attack on the Gaza Strip with dozens of fighter jets.

It was reported that 1,200 Israelis lost their lives in the attacks carried out from Gaza.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that 1,055 people were killed and 5,184 people were injured in Gaza due to Israeli attacks.

In the occupied West Bank, 21 people were reported killed and approximately 130 injured in attacks by Israeli soldiers. (AA)
