Hamas reaction to Western media
Hamas’ written statement stated that accusations by some Western media outlets that children were being killed in Israel were completely unfounded.
The statement noted that the allegations in question were “just stories invented by Israel to defame the Palestinian people and their resistance” and added: “The latest of these slanders was that children were knifed to death and civilians were targeted.”
In the statement, adopting the Israeli story and taking sides with it without any investigation was interpreted as “the collapse of the media”, and it was stated that with such statements, “an attempt was made to cover up the crimes of massacre” perpetrated by Israel in the blockaded Gaza Strip.
Calling the deprivation of electricity, water, food and medical services to civilians in the Gaza Strip a “mass murder”, Hamas stressed that its military wing, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, attacked military formations and security of Israel with the flood of Aksa. attacks and civilians were not harmed.
In the statement, Western media outlets, accused of siding with Israel, were called to practice “professional journalism.”
It was alleged that the Qassam Brigades “beheaded many Israeli babies” during the attack launched against Israel from Gaza on October 7.
The Israeli army spokesperson was contacted by phone regarding the issue and said: “After the Hamas attack, there was news that there were babies who had their heads cut off by those who carried out this attack on the Israeli side. Can you confirm this? or provide information about it? The question was raised.
The spokesperson responded: “We have seen the news, but we do not have any details or confirmation about it.”
THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE HAVE DIED SINCE SATURDAY
Hamas’s armed wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, launched a comprehensive attack against Israel on the morning of October 7, called the “Aqsa Flood.”
As thousands of rockets were fired from Gaza into Israel, Palestinian armed groups attacked and seized the Beit Hanun-Erez border gate on the Gaza-Israel border.
Armed groups then entered settlements inside Israel from here and the Israeli army launched an attack on the Gaza Strip with dozens of fighter jets.
It was reported that 1,200 Israelis lost their lives in the attacks carried out from Gaza.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health also announced that 1,055 people were killed and 5,184 people were injured in Gaza due to Israeli attacks.
In the occupied West Bank, 21 people were reported killed and approximately 130 injured in attacks by Israeli soldiers.
