Egyptian President Sisi made statements regarding the current Palestinian-Israeli conflict in the Gaza Strip.

Emphasizing that Egypt is “closely following” developments in the region and the Palestinian territories, Sisi stated that “the current escalation is very dangerous and has repercussions that may affect the security and stability of the region.”

“Egypt is intensifying its contacts at all levels to stop the current military clashes, prevent Palestinian bloodshed and protect civilians on both the Palestinian and Israeli sides,” Sisi said. saying.

“WE ARE IN CONTACT WITH ALL THE INTERNATIONAL POWERS”

Regarding his country’s attitude towards the Palestinian issue, Sisi said: “Egypt emphasizes that a just and comprehensive peace based on a two-state solution is the way to achieve real and sustainable security for the Palestinian people.” he said.

Sisi expressed hope to resolve the issue through negotiations leading to the establishment of the State of Palestine, stating that Egypt will not allow the Palestinian issue to be resolved “to the detriment of other parties.”

Sisi affirmed that they are making efforts to ensure a ceasefire between the parties and said: “We are in communication with all international powers and influential regional parties.” he said.

Sisi emphasized protecting Egypt’s national security, saying: “The Egyptian people must be aware of the complexity of the situation and the magnitude of the threat.” he made the assessment of it.

ISRAEL-HAMAS CONFLICT

Hamas’s armed wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, launched a comprehensive attack against Israel on the morning of October 7, called the “Aqsa Flood.”

As thousands of rockets were fired from Gaza into Israel, Palestinian armed groups attacked and seized the Beit Hanun-Erez border gate on the Gaza-Israel border.

Armed groups then entered settlements inside Israel from here and the Israeli army launched an attack on the Gaza Strip with dozens of fighter jets.

The Palestinian Health Ministry announced that 830 people were killed and 4,250 injured in Gaza during the Israeli attacks.

In the occupied West Bank, 19 people were reported killed and approximately 110 injured in attacks by Israeli soldiers.

It was reported that 1,000 Israelis were killed and 2,806 people were injured, 106 of them seriously, in the attacks carried out from Gaza. (AA)
