Netanyahu’s very harsh statement: Our response will change the Middle East

The forceful statements come from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is the target of reactions in Israel, shocked by the attack launched by Palestinian organizations in Gaza.

Israel is arguing whether there was an intelligence failure after the attacks in which more than 800 people were killed and many people, including soldiers, kidnapped. Prime Minister Netanyahu said in his first statement: “We are now in a war” and finally said that Israel’s response to Hamas would be very harsh.

Meeting with the mayors of the regions on the Gaza border, Netanyahu said: “Our response will change the entire Middle East.” Netanyahu said: “What Hamas will experience will be difficult and disastrous, we have entered the operation and we are just beginning. “I want you to be determined because we will change the Middle East,” he said.

ALARM ON THE BORDER WITH LEBANON

As tensions continue on the Gaza border, the Israeli military announced that armed groups attempting to enter the country from the Lebanese border in the north were destroyed.

Israeli soldiers were recorded killing at least two militants who tried to infiltrate from Lebanon. Al Manar television, close to Hezbollah, also reported that gunshots and explosions were frequently heard along the border.

It is claimed that if armed groups on the Lebanese border join Hamas attacks, a second front in the war could open.

On the other hand, the press officer of the Hezbollah movement, Rana Sahili, said that they had no connection with the infiltration attempt that took place on the Israeli border. Lebanese media reports suggested that the militias could be members of Hamas or Islamic Jihad living in Palestinian camps.

EGYPTIAN INTELLIGENCE: ISRAEL DID NOT LISTEN TO OUR WARNINGS

Meanwhile, it was claimed that Egyptian intelligence repeatedly warned Israel that Hamas was planning “something very big”, but its interlocutors did not listen.

According to the American news agency Associated Press (AP), an Egyptian intelligence official, who wished to remain anonymous, stated that Palestinian groups had warned Israel in advance about the attack launched against Israel from the blockaded Gaza Strip. The Egyptian official claimed that they warned their interlocutors in Tel Aviv about the situation in Gaza during the ongoing prisoner exchange talks before the conflict between Hamas and Israel, saying: “We have repeatedly warned the Israelis that the situation has reached explosion point and it will be very big. But they underestimated them,” he stated.

The Israeli press criticized the army, security and intelligence agencies for showing great weakness in the joint attack carried out by Palestinian armed groups from the blockaded Gaza Strip.

Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari acknowledged that the army owed an explanation to the public, but stated that “now is not the time, they will fight first and then investigate.” (AGENCIES)
