On the other hand, Patel refrained from commenting on his connection with the YPG, the Syrian branch of the PKK terrorist organization. Patel said: “We do not have sufficient information to confirm the accuracy of these detailed allegations. “We have nothing to offer here.” saying.

“I AM NOT HERE TO CHANGE US POLICY”

When asked if the threats posed by the PKK and YPG to Turkey and the United States are separate situations, Patel avoided answering, saying: “This is the situation. “I’m not here to change long-standing American policy.” he said. Patel: “We are aware of the security threat that the PKK poses to Türkiye.” saying.

Asked whether the YPG poses a threat to Turkey, Patel said: “I have no security assessment to offer on this issue.” He answered.

STATEMENT BY MINISTER GÜLER

Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, in his statement regarding the terrorist attack in Ankara, said: “We want everyone to know that all facilities and activities of the PKK/KCK, PYD/YPG in Syria and Iraq will be our legitimate target from now on. onwards. , as they have been until today.” he said.

Güler wished recovery to the heroic police officers who thwarted the terrorist attack and also conveyed to the Ministry of the Interior his wishes for a speedy recovery.

THE TERRORISTS COME FROM SYRIA

Speaking at the joint press conference held after his meeting with TRNC Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated that the two terrorists who carried out the terrorist attack in Ankara came from Syria and said: “As a result of the work carried out by our intelligence and security forces, the two terrorists came from Syria, here (it has become clear that they received training in Syria.” He used the expression.

Minister Fidan said: “From now on, all infrastructure, superstructures and energy facilities belonging to the PKK/YPG, especially in Iraq and Syria, are the legitimate target of our security forces, armed forces and intelligence elements. “I recommend that third parties stay away from PKK/YPG facilities and people.” he said.
