Azerbaijan’s reaction to France: unacceptable
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry condemned French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna’s statements against Azerbaijan during her contacts with Armenia and France’s attempts to send weapons to Armenia.
The Ministry’s statement said Colonna made unfounded accusations against Azerbaijan in Armenia and said: “We strongly condemn and reject them.” It was said. The statement noted that Colonna intended to confuse the international community by claiming that Armenians who left Karabakh voluntarily were forcibly displaced, and stated: “It is unacceptable that France is trying to arm Armenia in every possible way and engage it in aggression.” and military adventure again.” . “France must be clear that these efforts, like previous attempts to intervene in our region, will fail.”
The statement recalled that the French Minister stated that “France is always on the side of Armenia” and that the relevant meetings of the United Nations (UN) Security Council were held at the initiative of France, and noted the following:
“All this has revealed once again that France’s claim of impartial mediation over the past 30 years is completely unfounded. Despite statements by both international organizations and the Armenian Prime Minister that Azerbaijan’s anti-terrorist operation does not pose any threat to Armenian civilians, the French Minister’s description of the legitimate step taken by Azerbaijan on its sovereign territory as a crime shows that France’s incompetent policy “has failed in the region. It shows.”
During his contacts with Armenia, Colonna blamed Azerbaijan for the events in Karabakh and announced that in the future they would sign agreements to send weapons to Armenia. (AA)
