Terrifying earthquake in the city where seismic movements alarmed

Naples, Italy, which has long experienced earthquakes due to volcanic activity, was hit by a magnitude 4 earthquake.

The magnitude 4 earthquake that occurred yesterday in Campi Flegrei, where the most active volcanic area in the country is located, caused panic in the region where more than half a million people live. A major volcanic eruption is feared in the region, where seismic activity has recently increased.

Seismic activity is increasing on Mount Vesuvius.

Due to the strong tremor that was felt over a wide area, some buildings were damaged and parts of them fell on cars. Italian Civil Defense officials reported that there were no injuries or serious damage after the earthquake.

On the other hand, Italians, who had long been in panic due to fear of a major earthquake, took to the streets after the earthquake. Many people spent the night in the streets for fear that the earthquake would cause Mount Vesuvius to erupt.

The inhabitants of Naples and its surroundings feared a second earthquake in a week.

Mario Di Vito, director of the Italian National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, warned that larger earthquakes may occur in the region in the near future and called on the government to take the necessary precautions in hospital buildings, schools and public institutions.

A ‘BIG EXPLOSION’ IS EXPECTED IN THE VOLCANO

There is great concern surrounding the Campi Flegrei volcano, which last erupted in 1538, due to rumors of a “big explosion”. Scientists say the volcano is about to erupt and describe the situation as “very dangerous.”

The 4.2 magnitude earthquake that occurred in the region last week was recorded as the largest earthquake in the last 40 years and raised concerns.

Small-scale earthquakes, which have become more frequent in recent times, are said to weaken the craters and volcanic surface of the volcano and increase underground pressure. Authorities say hundreds of people living in the area near Pompeii, where the big explosion occurred in AD 79, are in great danger.
