A mentally disabled young man was beaten to death for allegedly “stealing food”

In New Delhi, the capital of India, Isar Muhammed, a 26-year-old mentally disabled man, was beaten to death by a group of men for allegedly “stealing food from the temple.”

The incident took place on September 26, 2023 at a temple in the Chandni Chowk area of ​​New Delhi. Muhammad was beaten by a group of men for allegedly stealing the food called “prasad”, which was found in the temple and was dedicated to the Hindu gods.

HE WAS TORTURED FOR HOURS

It was claimed that Muhammad could not express himself to the temple authorities due to his mental disability. Muhammad was tied to a post, beaten and tortured for hours.

Muhammed’s family said the young man had wounds all over when he was found and that he died shortly after being brought home by a neighbor.

7 people were arrested on charges of murder in connection with the incident. (AA)
