Number of Azerbaijani soldiers martyred in Karabakh announced

The Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan announced that 192 Azerbaijani soldiers were martyred during the two-day anti-terrorist operation in Karabakh.

In the statement made today by the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan the following statements were made:

“As a result of the successful local anti-terrorist measures carried out by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan on September 19 and 20, 2023, the sovereignty of the Republic of Azerbaijan was fully restored. 192 soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan were martyred during local anti-terrorist measures. 180 of the martyred soldiers are members of the Ministry of Defense and 12 are members of the Ministry of the Interior. One of the martyrs is a civilian.

The identities of 11 people will be determined after forensic genetic examinations carried out by the Forensic Medicine Specialist. At the same time, 511 military personnel and 1 civilian were injured as a result of local anti-terrorist measures.”

ARMENIANS WITHDRAW

The Reuters news agency reported that the number of people who crossed from the Karabakh region to Armenia exceeded 47 thousand.

The number of Armenians who passed from Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia last night was about 28,000. (AGENCIES)
