The rover that went to the moon cannot be located
The Indian Space Research Agency (ISRO) announced that communication could not be established with the Chandrayaan-3 space exploration vehicle that landed on the south pole of the Moon.
In the statement made on ISRO’s social media account, it was stated that communication efforts with the Vikram lander and Pragyan rover aboard the vehicle were also unsuccessful.
“WHY THERE CAN BE ADVERSE CLIMATE CONDITIONS”
Indian Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh, in his post on his social media account, noted that the ISRO team is making efforts to communicate with the space exploration vehicle, and stated that the reason for not being able to establish contact may be the cold weather conditions on the moon, which currently drop to -150 degrees.
Chandrayaan-3, which India sent into space on July 14 to examine the south polar region of the Moon, was reported to have made a successful landing on the Moon on August 23.
ISRO’s Chandrayaan-3 was a space exploration vehicle weighing approximately 3.9 tonnes and consisting of a landing platform and exploration modules intended to examine the surface of the Moon.
It was announced that the vehicle would serve for 14 days after landing at the Moon’s south pole, an unexplored region where scientists believe it may contain significant reserves of frozen water and valuable elements. (AA)
