Netanyahu: We are on the brink of historic peace with Saudi Arabia

In his speech at the UN General Assembly, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu took aim at the normalization agreements that Israel signed with Arab countries in 2020.

Stating that peace with the Palestinians can be achieved if Israel signs normalization agreements with more Arab countries, Netanyahu said: “I have long wanted a peace agreement with the Palestinians. Palestinians should not be given a veto over Israel’s new peace agreements with Arab countries. “The Palestinians can benefit from an expansion of peace without vetoing this process.” saying.

Stating that Israel signed normalization agreements with Arab countries during the reign of former US President Donald Trump, Netanyahu noted that they could also sign a normalization agreement with Saudi Arabia under the leadership of US President Joe Biden.

Netanyahu claimed his country could sign a normalization agreement with Riyadh under the leadership of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, saying: “We are on the verge of a historic peace with Saudi Arabia. Peace between Israel and Saudi Arabia will create a new Middle East.” he said.

NETANYAHU USED IMAGES IN HIS SPEECH

Speaking about the new economic corridor that will extend from India to Europe and that he plans to pass through his country and the normalization agreement with Riyadh, Netanyahu created a map titled “New Middle East” where Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Egypt, Sudan and Jordan are shown in green.

It should be noted that on the map presented by Netanyahu, occupied East Jerusalem, the West Bank and the blockaded Gaza Strip were also listed as Israeli territory.

IT HAS BEEN CHARGED ON IRAN AND PALESTINE

Netanyahu accused the international community of being indifferent to Iran’s attacks and stated that “sanctions have been relaxed even as Iran continues its nuclear ambitions.”

“A convincing threat must be presented against Iran’s nuclear ambitions,” Netanyahu said. “As long as I am Prime Minister of Israel, I will do everything I can to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.” he said.

Blaming Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Netanyahu accused Abbas of denying the Holocaust and using “anti-Semitic” rhetoric.

PROTEST OUTSIDE UN HEADQUARTERS

On the other hand, according to the Israeli press, while Netanyahu was giving his speech, thousands of Israelis and Jews in the United States were protesting in front of the UN headquarters in New York against the legal regulation prepared by Israel’s right-wing government that reduces powers. of the judicial power.
