Impact of the missile attack against the Russian navy

A missile attack was reported to have been carried out on the Russian Black Sea Navy headquarters in Sevastopol, on the Russian-annexed Crimean peninsula.

Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvojayev said in a statement on his social media account: “The enemy launched a missile attack on the navy headquarters. A fragment fell next to the Lunacharsky theater.” he said. Razvojayev reported that all emergency services were sent to the scene and stated that work to treat the victims continues.

Razvojayev called on the public to remain calm and asked that photographs and videos of the scene not be shared on social media.

In a second statement, Razvojayev announced that a new missile attack could occur and asked citizens not to go to the city center or leave buildings.
