Critical ceasefire meeting completed

Ceasefire talks in the city of Yevlah between ethnic Armenian and Azeri delegations from Nagorno-Karabakh have been completed. Azerbaijan-based news agencies reported the news.

Ethnic Armenian separatist forces in Nagorno-Karabakh surrendered 24 hours after Azerbaijan launched an offensive to regain full control of its territory and agreed to ceasefire talks yesterday.

Ceasefire talks began today between Azerbaijan and the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh, who were defeated after Azerbaijan’s day-long military operation.

On the other hand, as negotiations continued, Karabakh Armenians claimed that Azeri forces violated the ceasefire. The claim was quickly denied by the Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense.

Armenian officials announced that gunshots were heard in the center of Nagorno-Karabakh’s capital, and two sources in the region told Reuters they heard gunshots.

Azerbaijan had announced that it had ended its military actions in Nagorno-Karabakh following the ceasefire agreement that would leave the region completely under the control of Baku.
