Former CIA and FBI agent says which is the safest room in a hotel

Tracy Walder, 44, a former CIA and FBI agent, became an academic after leaving the industry she worked in for many years. Walder, who currently teaches criminal law, explained which hotel rooms she prefers when she goes on vacation with her family and which rooms are safest to stay in.

Walder, who once worked for the FBI and CIA, gave advice to tourists.

Speaking to US media, Walder said he was very careful in the hotels he stayed in due to his work at the CIA and FBI. Walder said: “First of all, I analyze the risk of terrorism in the place I go and, in case of emergency, I set an alarm to notify my relatives in the same area.”

He also claimed that he gave his 8-year-old daughter an Apple Air Tag-like tracking device and examined everything while on vacation. Walder: “In hotels I prefer rooms between the third and sixth floors. “Because they are close enough to reach the emergency exit, but at the same time they are far enough away from those attacking the building,” he said.

Walder said: “Staying in rooms close to the ground floor is risky because attackers can attack these rooms first. “Staying on very high floors also makes it very difficult to quickly exit the building,” he said. The former agent stated that it is important to lock the hotel room doors and place a chair in front of the door.
