Kim Jong-Un left on his special train: he will go to Russia
According to North Korea’s official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Kim will be accompanied by senior government and military officials during his trip.
Kim was claimed to have left Pyongyang on Sunday afternoon for Russia, and senior officials of the ruling Workers’ Party Central Committee fired Kim.
Kim, whose journey on a special armored train will last approximately 20 hours, will attend the Eastern Economic Forum to be held in Vladivostok.
KCNA had previously announced that Kim would meet Putin during the visit, where no details about the place and time were shared.
The Kremlin had also announced that North Korean leader Kim would soon visit Russia at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The New York Times report, based on US officials, stated that Kim would meet with Putin “to discuss the possibilities of providing more weapons to Moscow in the Ukraine war and military cooperation in different areas.”
Kim last visited Russia in 2019 and met with Putin in Vladivostok.
