According to data from the Pakistan Institute of Conflict and Security Studies, terrorist attacks increased by 79 percent in the first 6 months of this year compared to the same period in 2022.

389 people lost their lives in 271 terrorist attacks during this period. In the first 6 months of 2022, 151 terrorist attacks occurred and 293 people lost their lives.

Terrorist attacks have increased in the country in recent months, especially in the provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

PAKISTAN ACCUSES AFGHANISTAN

Islamabad maintains that these attacks were planned and directed by the Pakistani Taliban (TTP) based in Afghanistan. Afghanistan rejects these accusations.
