Squares that caused the crisis in Finland: scandalous poses of the politician who will occupy the prime minister’s chair

After the videos of dancing and partying were leaked to the public, the Prime Minister of Finland and leader of the Social Democratic Party, Sanna Marin, who decided to resign after not getting what she expected from the elections, Antti Lindtman will be in the spotlight.

Lindtman had run against Marin four years earlier and lost the party leadership.

Photos taken almost 20 years ago of Lindtman, who is preparing to take Marin’s place at the party and will officially assume command of the SDP this week, sparked a great deal of controversy.

The photos, which leaked a few weeks ago, began to circulate again after Lindtman’s victory in the internal party elections.

The photos show Lindtman posing with a group of naked men, some standing next to him and others giving the Nazi salute. In the photographs, which were allegedly taken at a high school Christmas party, Lindtman is also holding a toy gun.

An inappropriate photo of Lindtman with a woman has also surfaced.

Lindtman, 41, claimed the photo was real and was taken for a commissioned film project. Lindtman said: “I asked for this photo to be removed from the film club site, but again, someone leaked these photos. “I’m not very proud of my youth and what I’ve done,” he said.

Speaking to the Finnish newspaper Ilta-Sanomat, Lindtman said: “The children in that photo were a bit exaggerated, but I was never a Nazi supporter. I wasn’t then and I’m not now. I don’t even think neo-Nazis would care.” like my politics,” he said.

Sanna Marin’s dance videos were on the agenda.

CRISES DO NOT END IN THE SDP

Also controversial was the choice of spokesman for the SDP, which failed to win elections in April and became Finland’s largest opposition party after losing power.

It turned out that Mikkel Nakkalajarvi, the party’s elected spokesman, had previously killed his neighbor’s cat. It was claimed that in 2006, a neighbor at his summer house committed suicide with a shovel and was convicted of this offence.

Speaking at the SDP plenary, Nakkalajarvi said: “I want a Finland where anyone can be whoever they want. “I want a country where those who fail can try again and succeed,” he said.
