BILATERAL MEETINGS BEFORE THE SUMMIT

The leaders, who held bilateral meetings ahead of the summit at the Greek Presidential Palace, were reported to have discussed mutual energy and trade issues, as well as Cyprus and other regional issues.

In the final statement of the tripartite summit sent from the GCASC Press and Information Office, it was stated that Christodoulides, Mitsotakis and Netanyahu reaffirmed the determination of the tripartite partnership platform to continue strengthening cooperation and affirmed that the growing common interests of the summit of the 3 countries and peace in the Eastern Mediterranean and in the region in general. Its aim was stated to be to contribute to stability, security and prosperity.

The statement states that it was agreed that the trilateral summit will be held at the ministerial level in the fields of energy, economy, climate action, emergency preparedness and the fight against terrorism with the participation of the United States in a 3+1 format. , and that the leaders, the Cyprus question, international law and the United Nations (UN) It ​​was emphasized that they declared their strong support for a just, comprehensive and feasible solution based on the relevant Security Council resolutions.

Noting that Israel needs to support cooperation under the association agreement with the European Union (EU) and that the EU-Israel Association Council should meet again in the last quarter of this year, it was stated that the upcoming tripartite summit will be decided to be held in Israel next year.
