A warning from the United States draws attention: the greatest threat is…

During his visit to Sweden with the US congressional delegation, McCaul, Chairman of the US House Foreign Relations Committee, met with Foreign Minister Tobias Billström and discussed the alliance between Chinese President Xi Jinping , and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

McCaul expressed concern about the alliance between Xi and Putin, saying: “We haven’t seen such a large-scale threat to Europe and the Pacific since World War II.” He described the alliance in question as “a great challenge to the free world in the great power competition in which it finds itself.”

McCaul said he hopes Sweden will join NATO in October, saying that with Finland and Sweden joining NATO, the Alliance will become a “stronger and more cohesive” structure.

The US congressional delegation will meet with government officials and members of parliament at their next stop, the Netherlands. (AA)
