The invitation of Russia and Belarus to the Nobel Ceremony provoked reactions

Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna criticized the invitation of Russia and Belarus to this year’s Nobel Prize ceremony.

Tsahkna, in her post on her X account, stated that no officials from the aforementioned countries should be invited to the ceremony. Recalling that they are united in isolating Russians and Belarusians from the international arena, Tsahkna said: “There is still hope for a friendly call from the West in Moscow and Minsk. We need to make this mistake a thing of the past. No official from these countries should be invited to the Nobel Prize ceremony.” he used his statements.

It was reported in the international media news that the Nobel Foundation invited Russia, Belarus and Iran to the Nobel Prize Ceremony to be held this year.

Vidar Helgesen, director of the Nobel Foundation, stated that this decision was made because “the world is increasingly polarized and the dialogue between people with different points of view is diminishing.” (AA)
