Pentagon: Wagner is essentially done

Pentagon spokesman Brigadier General Patrick Ryder discussed the agenda at his daily news briefing and responded to questions from reporters.

Recalling accusations made last year that North Korea sold arms to Wagner, a reporter at the meeting said: “Do you think the arms deal between Wagner and North Korea has ended?” he posed the question. Referring to the death of Wagner founder Prigojin, Ryder said: “The point here is that the Wagner group has essentially disappeared. Therefore, I can say that there is no negotiation”. he used his statements.

Ryder claimed that Wagner was the most influential factor on the battlefield of the Russian-Ukrainian war for a period, saying, “Russia is trying to buy ammunition or weapons from tyrannical regimes like Iran and North Korea.” he said. Ryder reiterated his call on North Korea not to hand over weapons to Russia.

In a statement by the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) on August 23, it was reported that 10 people died as a result of the private plane crash, including Prigojin, in Tver. According to the statement, on the plane’s passenger list were Prigojin’s assistant and one of Wagner’s founders, Dmitriy Utkin, and Sergey Propustin, Yevgeniy Makaryan, Aleksandr Totmin, Valeriy Cekalov and Nikolay Matuseyev.

In its statement on August 27, the Investigative Committee of Russia confirmed that Wagner founder Yevgeny Prigojin was among those killed in a private plane crash in the Tver region.

Prigokhin’s funeral was held in St. It was reported that it was done in the St. Petersburg cemetery. (AA)
