Interpol statement from Russia

Interpol statement from Russia

In the statement issued by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs with the headline “Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs clarifies”, it was recalled that several decisions were made today regarding the activities of Interpol in Russia.

In the statement, which states that the decisions will not restrict Interpol’s activities in Russia, “the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs does not change the current procedure for the implementation of Interpol’s official operations and activities.” It was said.

In the decision made today by the Russian Interior Ministry, Interpol was not listed among the institutions that could carry out operations and investigative activities in the country, which was interpreted as a restriction on Interpol’s activities in Russia.

Russia joined Interpol in 1990, which fights international crime. (AA)
