Iranian President to visit Saudi Arabia
Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Emir Abdullahiyan, who traveled to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, as part of a one-day official visit with his high-level delegation, met with his Saudi counterpart, Faisal bin Ferhan.
After the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two ministers held a joint press conference. Speaking at the meeting, Abdullahiyan stated that in addition to the relations between the two countries, they also discussed the issues related to the Palestinian issue and the Islamic world.
Stating that relations between the two countries are “on the right and developing track” and that they had serious and important talks during their meetings in Riyadh, Abdullahiyan said, “We are determined to develop cooperation between the two countries in all fields. . We can work with Saudi Arabia to solve regional problems. We are taking appropriate steps to strengthen our relations with neighboring countries, especially Saudi Arabia.” he said.
Noting that Iran and Saudi Arabia have agreed to establish a framework to monitor their relations in various fields, Abdullahiyan noted that they stressed the importance of establishing various expert committees in areas of bilateral and multilateral cooperation and cooperation between the private sectors of the two countries.

Stating that the issue of Palestine and Jerusalem is the first issue of the Islamic world and that they had consultations on the issue at today’s meeting, Abdullahiyan said, “I am happy that the room where this meeting was held was called Jerusalem today. . We continue our strong support for Palestine and have no doubt that the Zionist regime continues its efforts and plots to create discord and division in the Islamic world. Abdullahiyan stated that Iran and Saudi Arabia have common positions on disrespectful acts against the Quran in Europe.
Noting that regional security should be provided by countries in the region, Abdullahiyan said, “The idea of security and development cannot be separated and all actors in the region are responsible for this.” he performed the assessment of it.
Reminding that Saudi Arabia will host Expo 2030, Abdullahiyan said, “We support hosting Expo 2030 in Saudi Arabia. In the sports field, we have agreed that the sports teams of the two countries play friendly matches”. saying.
Recalling that President Ibrahim Reisi received an official invitation from King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia to visit Saudi Arabia, Abdullahiyan said: “The President of the Republic accepted this invitation and will visit Saudi Arabia at the appropriate time. Our meetings and consultations as foreign ministers of the two countries provide the necessary preparations for the meeting of the presidents.” he said.

Speaking at the press conference, Bin Ferhan stated that they wanted the president of Iran to visit the country at the invitation of King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia.
Noting that the Saudi and Iranian missions are continuing to work again and the ambassadors of the two countries have started their duties, Bin Ferhan called this an “important step.”
Bin Ferhan stressed that Saudi Arabia attaches importance to discussion, consultation and coordination of ways to activate agreements with Iran on security aspects.
Saudi Minister Bin Ferhan noted that his meeting with his Iranian counterpart Abdullahiyan is a continuation of the steps taken to restart relations between the two countries, which are very important for the history of the two countries.
