Survey that attracts attention: Young people want education and work
According to provisional results from the world’s largest survey, which began on the occasion of International Youth Day on August 12, 40 percent of young people wanted education, skills and employment.
Interim results of the most widely attended survey conducted by the Mother, Newborn and Child Health Partnership (PMNCH), affiliated with the World Health Organization, were announced yesterday.
When more than 700,000 young people between the ages of 10 and 24 were asked what they wanted for their own well-being, 40 per cent said they wanted learning, qualifications, education, skills and employment. Safety and a supportive environment, in second place, were among the most requested requests by young people.
In low- and middle-income countries by 2022, learning losses due to school closures due to Covid-19 have resulted in up to 70 percent of 10-year-olds unable to read or understand simple text, according to the statement. from P.M.N.C.H.
MORE “GOOD EDUCATION” USED
In the survey, in which young people used their own expressions, the most used word was education, while the most used binary word was good education.
It was reported that the full results of the survey organized by PMNCH on the occasion of August 12, International Youth Day, will be shared later, and the number of participants has already reached 823,626.
It was seen that the majority of 16-year-olds participated in the survey. On the basis of gender, 51.43 percent of girls participated in the survey, while the participation rate for young men was 46.81.
