Kremlin statement on the Erdogan-Putin meeting
Kremlin foreign policy adviser Ushakov made a statement to reporters about Putin’s plans to meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Reminding that Putin can visit Turkey in August and other options were mentioned, Ushakov said that they have not yet started work on this issue.
“WE DON’T AGREE DATE AND TIME”
Noting that Putin promised to come to Turkey right after Erdogan’s victory in the presidential election, Ushakov said: “I can confirm that both the Turkish and Russian sides have plans for Putin’s visit to Turkey, but we have not yet agreed on a specific date and time.” he used the phrase.
Asked by reporters whether the issue of the grain deal would be on the agenda during the meetings between the two leaders, Ushakov added that it was “natural” for the two leaders to discuss this issue, both over the phone and face to face. (AA)
