It rained, 133 people died

According to data from Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Agency, the heavy rains negatively affected life across the country.

In the disasters and accidents caused by monsoon rains hitting the country since June 25, 65 people in Punjab, 35 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 10 in Sindh, 6 in Balochistan, 11 in Islamabad, 5 in Azad Jammu Kashmir and 1 in Gilgit Baltistan, 133 people lost their lives and the number of injured increased to 215. .

LOTS OF PEOPLE STANDING

According to national media reports, many people were stranded in the country’s tourist region, Gilgit Baltistan, due to landslides and flooding.

In Karachi, the commercial center of the country, the rains caused flooding. In some parts of the city, the streets were flooded, houses and shops were also flooded.

Monsoon rains in the period from June to September every year cause great damage in Pakistan.

Last year, 1,739 people lost their lives due to flooding that occurred as a result of monsoon rains in the country, and the cost of the disaster to the country was announced to be over 30 billion US dollars. (AA)
