Relocation of a submarine from the US to increase tension

The USS Annapolis nuclear submarine, which the United States sent for the second time this month, has arrived in South Korea.

It has been reported that the USS Annapolis submarine, sent by the US to South Korea, has arrived in the Jeju Islands. Jang Do Young, a spokesman for the South Korean Navy, said in a written statement that the nuclear-powered USS Annapolis, which also has conventional weapons, anchored in the Jeju Islands to load various materials.

Jang, on the other hand, claimed that the US and South Korean military units are continuing their discussions on whether to organize training for the submarine.

After 42 years, the US sent the Ohio-class nuclear submarine USS Kentucky to South Korean waters, raising tensions in the region. USS Kentucky anchored in Busan port on July 18 and left South Korean waters on July 21 after a 3-day visit. (AA)
