Biden AI warning: We need to be vigilant and vigilant
Prior to his meeting with the leaders of technology companies at the White House, US President Biden held a press conference. Biden drew attention to the social, economic and security risks of artificial intelligence, but also stressed that it offers “extraordinary” opportunities.
Stating that today, 7 leading companies in the field of technology have voluntarily committed to comply with the measures related to artificial intelligence, Biden explained that the commitments in this regard are based on three fundamental principles: security, protection and trust.
“MEASURES WILL BE TAKEN AGAINST THREATS”
Biden affirmed that in this context, companies will carry out the necessary tests and evaluations to guarantee that their technologies are safe before being presented to the public.
Stating that companies will take action on threats that may pose a risk to cyber and national security by prioritizing security on the systems they use, Biden said companies will tag relevant content so people know that content is produced by artificial intelligence.
“WE MUST BE OPEN AND CONSCIOUS”
Separately, Biden said the companies agreed to find ways to help overcome the challenges facing AI technology, from cancer to climate change, and to invest in related areas so students and employees can take advantage of the AI opportunity.
“We must remain vigilant and vigilant about the threats that emerging technologies may pose to our democracy and values, although they do not have to create them.” she used the phrase.
Drawing attention to the speed of technology transformation, Biden stressed the need to take appropriate legal steps to ensure security in this context. Biden noted that he will continue to take administrative steps to ensure responsible innovation.
The White House today announced that 7 US companies, including OpenAI, Amazon, Google, Meta, Microsoft, have agreed to adhere to security measures before launching their artificial intelligence products on the market. (AA)
