Statement by the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in Ankara on Erdogan’s visit
United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador to Ankara Zahiri shared with the AA correspondent his assessment of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to the UAE, which is expected to take place tomorrow.
Stating that Erdogan’s visit to the United Arab Emirates is extremely important, Zahiri predicted that bilateral agreements will be signed during the visit, revealing the dimensions of the importance attached by the leaders of the two countries to strengthening cooperation.
Expressing that Turkey-UAE relations are in constant development in light of mutually successful visits by their leaders and especially after the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement signed in March, Zahiri said the agreement represents a new era to open up broader horizons in the framework of bilateral relations and strengthening of the association; He said it aims to promote trade, investment and economic growth, establish a development partnership and build common interests.
Stating that Erdogan’s visit took place at a time when the United Arab Emirates was preparing to host the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference “COP28”, the Ambassador claimed that Turkey trusted the United Arab Emirates to host the summit and expressed his belief that positive results would be obtained from the summit. .
MEETINGS WITH THE UAE
Noting that Erdogan’s visit to the United Arab Emirates came within the framework of joint efforts to increase political and economic communication between the two countries, Zahiri continued as follows:
“We believe that the results of the visit will make it possible to advance the level of relations in many areas, through the search for new investment opportunities in the fields of economy, trade, investment, transportation, health and the energy, and the development of joint and commercial exchange. cooperation in new sectors.
During this visit, the mutual desire to increase the trade volume to approximately 40 billion dollars in the coming years and ways to develop relations in all priority areas for the two countries will be discussed.
Referring to the UAE side’s desire for cooperation, Ambassador Zahiri said, “We all believe that the UAE has a common desire for stronger cooperation in various fields. There are many promising opportunities to develop our economic partnership in areas that serve the sustainable development goals, particularly in the economy, investment, infrastructure, tourism, culture, food security, renewable energy, environment, technology and other vital areas.” used their statements .
