‘Cleon’ is coming to Greece

According to data from the Greek Meteorological Service, the temperature in the capital Athens is expected to reach 40 degrees on Thursday and 44 degrees on Saturday.

While experts warned against excessive heat, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Labor Minister Adonis Yeorgiadis with the participation of experts and officials on measures to be taken for the health and safety of workers in extreme heat conditions.

The Municipality of Athens has decided to put 7 different areas cooled by air conditioners at the service of those in need starting tomorrow.

The centers, cooled by air conditioning, will serve citizens between 08:00 and 20:00.

INCREASE IN CASES OF TRAFFIC

On the other hand, it was reported that more than 50 people lost their lives by drowning in the sea in 15 days in Greece.

In the Greek press news, it was noted that most of the people who died from drowning in the last 15 days were over 70 years old. (AA)
