Russia: Ukraine Ballistic Missile Attack Foiled
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that Ukraine attempted to attack the Crimea, Rostov and Kaluga regions with S-200 missiles.
In the Ministry’s statement, it was indicated that 4 Ukrainian ballistic missiles were destroyed in the report delivered by the Russian Aerospace Command to the Chief of the Russian General Staff Valeriy Gerasimov.
In the statement, which noted that Ukraine tried to attack targets in the Crimea, Rostov and Kaluga regions yesterday with S-200 missiles, and Russian air defense systems prevented this attack, the statement said: “2 S-200 missiles with missiles air defense systems and 2 more similar missiles with electronic warfare systems. There was no loss of life or destruction.”
In the statement, it was noted that Gerasimov ordered to take additional measures to increase protection against air strikes as soon as possible. (AA)
